__________
In 1821, a rather amusing incident led to the naming of Cicero Creek in Hamilton County, Indiana. During a survey led by Judge William B. Laughlin of Brookville, the judge's son, also named Cicero, bent down to take a drink from the stream. He lost his balance, however, and fell headfirst into the water. Amused by his son's clumsy plunge, the judge decided to name the creek after him.Â
